SCBA service evidence

Not another check mark. The results behind the work.

A due date tells you when. The record tells you what was found, by whom and against which requirement. FD Maintain keeps the original results behind every SCBA, cylinder and repair.

We know the breathing-air business.

Keep the crew side where it is

Your crews keep logging fills and checks.

If your firefighters log fills, rotations and daily checks in crew-check software or on paper, keep it that way. FD Maintain focuses on the work your service providers perform and the evidence behind it, and can import your monthly inspection records if you want them beside the requirement.

Never a false green

Scheduled is not tested. A file is not a pass.

An honest status keeps the date, the evidence and the decision separate, so nothing looks better than the record supports.

  • A scheduled flow test with no prior result is shown as a gap until evidence arrives.
  • A failed result counts from any source and opens an issue.
  • Verified provider records are labeled apart from department-reported ones.

Good questions

A few things worth knowing.

Do you assume every cylinder needs a hydrostatic test every five years?

No. Requalification depends on the cylinder’s specification, its special permit and the manufacturer’s requirements. The record uses the basis that applies to that cylinder.

Do we have to stop tracking SCBA in our current software?

No. Keep crew checks, fills and assignments where they work. FD Maintain adds the provider’s results and the requirement behind them.
